A bargain at the price and would recommend to anyone requiring a bed with storage below. Very solid feeling/looking bed, bundles of space underneath. Not too difficult to put together* – not being of a very practical mind, and in a very tight space (about 18″ to the sides and 3 feet at the end) it took me about three hours (making a couple of errors on the way!). The instructions are clear and the fixing parts properly labelled. Looking forward to many happy sleeps on it!(* with one exception – the stage where you need to screwd the slatted base onto the piston arms either needs two people, or for the gas pistons to be taken out so it can be fixed on a flat surface, it is almost impossible to keep on a 45 degree slope without sliding and falling off! I’d suggest a modification to the instructions at that point)

It cannot be moved once it’s built. I actually thought I’d be able to put casters on it so that I could move it for cleaning purposes but the wood is not wide enough to support casters so now that it’s built I’ll have to clean and hoover around it and inside the storage space. It is a bit heavy to lift the bed up from the bottom to access the storage area. It does require some muscle power. Another downside is that I thought the flooring of the storage area attached to the bed but it doesn’t. it just lies on the floor. I guess you could say that this is not a bad idea because if it was attached to the bed, you’d have to be careful of the weight of the storage items because it’s only made of flexible hardboard. In spite of these downfalls I still give this item 5 stars for the fantastic quality.

Nice bed but not quite oak. So I have quite mixed feelings about this bed – I decided to change the décor of the room from old manky pine to oak and loved the storage functionality so decided to go for this bed. It arrived well packed so no damage was done – there were a lot of boxed and huge amount of waste but no issue really and all got recycled.The assembly process was ok – not bad considering how many pieces there were but I found it quite easy and not even need to watch the video – the instructions included were sufficient to put it all together. All parts were included, nothing was missing and I had the job finished in few hours.The bed is pretty sturdy and the gas lifts etc works well as expected. The bed footboard does indeed have very sharp corners but no injuries so far. You cannot tell really that it’s not a real wood, it looks good.My two niggles with this are as follows:- there is no base – not included in the package not even mentioned in the instructions so it looks like the small double does not come with the bottom and your things will sit on the floor. Ok – not a major issue for me personally.- the colour of the bed overall is a lot more orange than oak-looking, to me it does not look like anything oak. You can see how close it is in colour scheme next to my old pine bedside table. I’ve seen few of these online and was hoping it will be made of the lighter material but i ended up quite disappointed. I knew it was not made of real wood and that’s ok but wanted it to look more oak than pine. Unless I change my mind and stick with pine, I will be selling this soon so it seems like a waste of money. Shame as it is a nice bed, just wish it was more oak than orange pine.The purchase process was good – the seller called me to discuss delivery and said they were very busy. Product 10/10 and customer service 💯. This is my second frame, I’m so pleased with the product that had to order another one. The product itself is very sturdy and well made.
