Very good purchase. Although the reviews are largely very good on this bed I’ll admit being skeptical about purchasing one online that I couldn’t physically see prior to buying it. Nevertheless for the price and design I had to give it a shot and I was not disappointed. The item was dispatched really quickly, arrived before the estimated delivery date and was packed well in perfect condition.It wasn’t super easy to put together but nor was it the most complex flatpack assembly I’ve ever had to do. The instructions were good and everything was provided ( including Allan keys!) that you could need to assemble it. The structure feels very sturdy and the bed slats have a really neat system for being held in place so I don’t think they’ll be moving around anytime soon. They’re not creaky either, which I’ve found some beds can be simply because of their structure. Headboard is nice and firm, not easily rattled around, and the base comfortably accommodates a standard double mattress without overlap. It’s also a good height for my preferences; not too high but also not virtually on the ground like some beds. With a mattress topper on my usual old mattress it’s actually the perfect height. Because it’s not too high the storage depth isn’t huge but it the floor space is more than sufficient to account for any lack of height. The lifting mechanism presented me with no problems; it’s easy to lift and lower which is important to someone with chronic fatigue that finds basic exertion difficult quite often.Overall, good purchase, great delivery, looks really neat and has great storage potential. Nothing Negative To Say. Delivery was sooner than expected which is always good for me.Assembling it was extremely easy if you’re good with your hands and reading instructions.Took me 2 hours to fully assemble, could of taken hour and a bit if I had a power tool instead of the tools they provide you with, probably 30 minutes if 2 of you have power tools.I have fairly heavy foam mattress and the gas assist holds it up perfectly when trying to get stuff from underneath so it being a little stiff benefits a lot but just takes a fair push down to put it back- not a problem.If you have ever had wooden slats for a bed then you know to not jump on it or make sudden heavy movements in one place, it’s just common sense… also put all the wooden slats bowed upwards against the mattress for best results for a flat and stronger bed.Doesn’t make any annoying squeaky noise especially when having a restless ‘sleep’ ;)Perfect and true to size, with huge storage space height, width and length.Love how it looks in the room as well, looks classy.Definitely worth it for the amount you pay, so impressed my other family members will be buying themselves one soon.I advise you to be careful with the long and wide package box out of the two you revive, as this has the backboard in with all the bits and bobs and the backboard has a thin layer of wood- either I was or the delivery guy was a bit rough with it so broke in a few places, but didn’t cause any structural issues or noise, if it does then just put some gorilla tape over it and problem solved.If you want to get a ottoman bed that’s not a eye soar amount then you must get this bed. It will be worth it !

Good product. Still don’t know why this bed was so cheap when I bought it as its £150 more now, however it is very well made product. It takes time to assemble but the instructions are clear and all parts go together well.The ottoman lifts up easily and gives a huge storage space.

We also contacted GFW for some spare parts and they were very prompt with their responses and immediately delivered the requested parts. The structure needs to be assembled from scratch but with in 2 people and an hour or two in hand, it is definitely doable (and fun!).

The only downside is the Ottoman storage part, it is debatably difficult to bring back down the bed after raising it, also the inside bottom of the storage is just fabric. Besides this it is perfect!

Pleasantly surprised. I as expecting this bed to be really cheap and naf for the price but have to say it’s actually quite good. Now I’m a 47 year old female with a bad back and managed to cart it upstairs in parts and build it all on my own with what I would say ease and surprisingly considering I forgot to bring my glasses up to see what I was reading and doing I managed to build it in 1 hour 25 minutes, 5 minutes short of the suggested build time, result!!! The 2 downfalls are you get a really flimsy piece of material to Velcro on to the underside of the bed frame but it didn’t fit so it was pointless so now when you open the ottoman I now just see the floor and secondly, it says you have to have the mattress on to operate the ottoman but I really struggled to manage to get it down. Once made up it looks quite good
