Cheap, easy to put together. This is cheap, and easy to put together (took me 1.5hours, on my own, as someone who had only put together flat pack IKEA shelving – also I am 5ft tall and not very strong). Does not require power tools (there are feet under the bed that needs to be put on, you can use a screwdriver – but it is probably easier with a drill). You CANNOT ignore these feet, as the height would be wrong and the bed wouldn’t shut properly. The frame is sturdy, and the pistons works amazingly. It is stiff at the beginning, but it will stay down with a few attempts + weight of the mattress.Lots of storage under the bed. This is directly on the floor, with a sheet that comes with the bed. So I guess you can put anything/any weight because it is directly on the floor.HOWEVER – the slats are flimsy.I would suggest getting this bed frame, but replacing all the slats – should be easy to get thicker replacement slats and middle+end caps that fit.The slats that come with the bed are 53mm wide, with the end caps having 35mm between the slots into the frame. This is pretty standard. You can just replace these with slats that are 63mm wide + slat holders that fit this, with 35mm between the holes.Hope this helps!

Very good value, good enough construction if assembled well. I did a lot of research on a double for the spare room, I wanted an ottoman for storage too. As usual, I looked to the reviews of the ones I’d shortlisted – this bed seemed like the best compromise between good review & poor reviews (as well as those that had misinterpreted the design – like in one review, the mattress stopper, a U-shaped piece of metal that plugs in at the base of the bed frame but isn’t screwed or bolted down was criticised for being a low quality handle ((because it’s not fastened down)) to lift the bed frame to access storage – as you’ll probably appreciate, as seen in my pics, the lift handle is a piece of fabric. My master bedrm ottoman bed was almost 3 times the price of this one (& to be fair is far more heavy in its’ construction) – well that has exactly the same – a fabric handle to lift the frame for under bed storage. So that reviewer had mistaken the mattress stopper bracket as being a handle. So this bed was the best of the ones I’d shortlisted – I wasn’t really keen on the faux leather but it actually looks good on the flesh & it’s unlikely to get worn being a bed in the spare room anyway. The mattress I’ve ordered was chosen in a similar manner – that’s arriving in 2 days – also from Amazon (& again sold by Amazon – something that’s important to me for potential post delivery issues – not that I have any). The lift mechanism works well & seems very strong – but again, no mattress yet (& have ordered a mem-foam pocket spring hybrid that’s 25cm deep – took same approach for selecting that as per this). In my opinion, some attention (by the person setting it up in their bedroom – not the manufacturer) … should be paid to ensuring the frame sits squarely & also evenly – side to side, top to bottom within the outer bed frame – as well as how high it sits. Do this on the fly – rather than when finished. Otherwise users of the bed may critique the bed design owing to noise / alignment – so ease off the tightness of the bolts for the lift brackets and corners and get the inner frame (with slats) square, flat & landing on the support brackets evenly side to side & top-bottom otherwise you’ll find the bed may be noisy when bed users turn over at night etc. The bed frame should be nice & stable sat on the inner frame support brackets plus legs should all land on the floor at the same height. This may sound complicated but it’s really straight forward. With regard to instructions- they could be better but they’re not bad. Once or twice I found myself looking at the pics for a while confused – then saying to myself “oh that’s what they mean!”. So just look closely. The sides of the bed can be mis-fitted wrong side – so just beware that. I found it easy to assemble on my own.It came quite well packed. The only (not really an issue…) thing was the inner parts of the outer bed frame (the faux-leather clad parts) are lined with a black fabric – this has some mould on them which needs to be brushed / wiped / vacuumed off. This is because the components of the bed are assembled in a very humid environment & then after packaging that moisture is trapped for a long while which causes some condensation & possible minor discolouration. If the bed were lined in a lighter colour perhapsIt’d be an issue – but it’s certainly not problem for me at all. The faux leather is similar & had a dusty / white film on it which wiped straight off with a dry microfibre cloth. So well packaged but perhaps could have had benefited from some silica gel packets included to inhibit mould (again, really not a problem).Naturally, I’ve not slept on it yet – but all in all, I think it’s very good. All bolts tightened up well, no threads going, nothing bending, seems up to the task (other more expensive beds are built far more robustly yea but then they really are more expensive), I think this is a fair way over the “good enough” mark to be squarely in the “quite good” category. If there are any issues moving forward, I will revisit this review but I am genuinely very pleased (I paid £171 & obv haven’t been paid for this or received a review sample – I’m a normal Joe Public buyer). There 2 more things worth mentioning; the Allen key provided is somewhat soft – so after tightening up20-odd bolts (about half of them) the end wears – so equip your self with a decent Allen key. To their credit, they provided two with mine – but as you’ll see in my pics, the 2nd one failed too – not a problem though – my own Allen key was longer tougher & easier to use. Also provides with 2 flat spanner’s but I used a small socket set – which was fair easier & more comfortable in the hand. The 2nd thing is, in another review, one person claimed he/she hadn’t been provided with enough of the caps to secure the slats to the inner frame (or perhaps one broke?) – well, to their credit, with mine at least, there’s a spare centre & 2 end caps provided in my box – which I think is deliberate. This, I think is an excellent idea.My bed was supplied fully complete, nothing damaged, nothing missing.I believe Amazons major-item logistics service delivered it (though it was a rather older vehicle so perhaps a sub-contractor). So I’d selected the soonest deliver to me option which stated “will deliver to outside your house” (or words to that effect) – so they don’t put in a room unless you specify that option (which was free in my case as I’m a Prime member) but it meant being delivered later than I wanted it plus I wasn’t anticipating it being difficult to move on my own & it wasn’t. My point is – they were extremely flexible and would actually put it in any room (upstairs or down) – I didn’t take advantage of that mind & just because moved them myself but full credit to the delivery team. Excellent service (& they were also very friendly too).So I’m very pleased all in all. Have a look at my pics π

A good night’s sleep. Very good, relatively easy assembly, stores lots, easy to lift and close.

Good. Easy to put together, but parts are all in one bag mixed. Relatively heavy to lift but that just depends on the weight of your mattress I guess.

Fantastic value. Fabulous value, sturdy and comfortable.

Easy to assemble. Put together on my own – quite easy I think and simple. A bolt was missing for the bed lift so I had to use a normal one from the bed screws which meant I was down one later. Seems good quality – mattress coming in few days so will see what it’s like on. Looks great overall

Good but need to replace steel bracket. Good but the steel bracket is broken when I put a bit of weight on the end side of the bed. I have to manually knock it back into place to use the ottoman feature. Looking to replace this part.

Extremely happy with my purchase. This bed is absolutely amazing, totally recommend! I m extremely happy because before i had a low bed and being 9 months pregnant is not easy to get up all the time from a low bed, but this one is exactly what i needed πAlso has a huge storage, really glad about this because i needed more space. We didn’t put anymore the bed feet cause was basically no difference, is high enough like this.Highly recommend compared to a low on, quality is great, easy to make as well and delivery was fast.
