3.5 stars – uncomfortable bed, good sofa, recommend for occasional use only. I wanted a sofa that we could use as a spare bed in my home office. Needed something cheap that was a very specific size and this fit the bill perfectly.Looks nice and more expensive than it is. Seems to be fairly well built, the folding mechanism is easy to use and works well, no problems after several months use.As a sofa it’s perfectly comfortable – wouldn’t want to sit on it for hours on end but it does the job.As a bed it’s almost not fit for purpose – it’s not supportive at all and feels lumpy. The padding is quite soft, however straight down the middle where it folds you can feel the hinge sticking out and it is very uncomfortable. Frankly I feel a bit guilty making people sleep on this, my brother came to stay and decided just to crash on the living room sofa the second night! I’m thinking of getting a mattress topper for it but it is a non standard size so would either need to get one custom made or trim down a larger memory foam one.As there is no option to give it 3.5 stars I’ll give it 4. The quality is surprisingly good for the price and it is mostly used as a sofa which it is perfectly fine for. I don’t think it would be fair to rate it lower as it is about as comfortable to sleep on as I expected – these things are notoriously uncomfortable as beds and this one is cheaper than most.I wouldn’t recommend it if you would be using it frequently, however if you only need something for the occasional guest it is good value and will probably last you a long time.
